A high quality firmer chisel set & wooden box made by Two Cherries in Germany. Hand forged out of high quality German steel, these chisels made with great craftsmanship. The cutting edges are ground with a standard angle of approximately 25°. The angle of the cutting edge can be adapted to the wood you work with (hard or soft). Before the first use, it is recommended that the cutting edge should be honed to a sharp working edge. To prevent the tools from corrosion, we recommend applying a small amount of oil on the tools after use or before storing them for a longer period. The handles are made of Hornbeam wood with steel ferrules attached. Four plastic chisel tip covers for chisels & a handsome wooden box is included. just what I wanted
package arrived faster than expected. thanks I have not used them for any projects yet. They arrived in perfect condition and required the expected amount of work to flatten the backs and finish sharpening the bevels. hoping they hold an edge better than the budget set I have been using. Was disappointed when I went to the Seattle location and found it one. Plan to check out your new place next time I 'm in the area. Send me a got hammered shirt. Size XL

The vendor’s (Hardwick & Sons) response with order confirmation and shipping was a 10. Can you say extremely prompt and timely? The chisels have been used very little, but the one that I did get sharpened worked well, but I cannot comment on edge holding power…yet. I was very surprised and disappointed that two of the wooden handles had incomplete lathed edges. Respecting “Two Cherries,” I wondered if I had received knock offs from Chna. It was a minor factor and did not affect performance. With that said, it’s the “minor” things that are refined when a good company makes products. It’s why I’ve given a 4, instead of 5 star rating.
